Microsoft seeks developers for new Halo community
A Microsoft job posting mentions a new community within the Halo franchise. They are looking for a developer who will build a new network platform for Halo players, which is not only limited to the Xbox 360 platform.
Micosoft has a vacancy open for a developer to help broaden the Halo universe to a community that transcends the boundaries of the Xbox platform. In an ad posted on Careerbuilder popped upthe Redmond-based company said it is looking for a software development engineer to help shape its new mission statement: “We want to bring console, web and mobile together and create a Halo world that will empower the dedicated Halo fan. can always carry with you, wherever you are.”
So Microsoft seems to have wild plans for the Halo franchise, and the vacancy may reveal the development of a new kind of Halo community outside of Xbox Live. The main task of the new Microsoft employee is to develop a new kind of ‘out-of-game interactive experience’ that goes beyond just the system that Halo 3 runs on. It is not immediately clear from the vacancy whether this only concerns the mobile market. It is also not clear whether it is a Halo game, or whether a completely new concept is being worked on.
