The Android version of Adobe Lightroom is free to use from Monday, without an Adobe ID and a Creative Cloud subscription. With this, the Android app follows the iOS version, which can be used without a Creative Cloud account since October.

With the update of Lightroom to version 1.4 on Android, all Adobe mobile apps are now free to use on mobile. It is still necessary to have a Creative Cloud subscription to take advantage of the ability to sync edits made with raw or jpg photos on the desktop. Changes made through Lightroom are not applied directly to the photos, so the original remains.

Version 1.4 for Android is the get in the Play Store from Google. New users can temporarily get free access to all the possibilities of the Creative Cloud by creating an Adobe ID. Once the trial is over, all options will remain on the mobile device, but without the sync capabilities. After the update, the mobile version of Lightroom can also be used without creating an account with Adobe.
