LG has presented the V10, a smartphone with two screens and a sturdy construction, according to the manufacturer. The frame is made of stainless steel type 316L in the SAE numbering, which should allow users to drop it without any problem.

The phone has a material on the bottom and back that LG calls the Dura Skin, with a rough pattern so that the device fits better in the hand. That should also prevent scratches on the device. If the Android device falls, the stainless steel frame with the name Dura Guard should ensure that it does not break. During a laboratory test at a third party, he survived tests in which he fell from a height of about 1.20 m at various angles, LG claims.

In addition to its 5.7″ LCD with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, the V10 has a second LCD, a “notification display” with a diagonal of 2.1″ and a resolution of 1040×160 pixels. It always shows things like notifications and possibly the weather. The second screen can also show incoming messages when watching videos, so the video can be displayed without overlays or pauses to show the message. Thanks to the resolution, the second screen has the same sharpness as the primary display, namely 513ppi.

Also on the front are two 5-megapixel cameras, which can work together to capture widescreen self-portraits. Like LG’s most important devices of this year, the G4 and the Nexus 5X, the phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808-soc, coupled with 4GB of lpddr3 memory. The emmc storage is 64GB and is expandable with microSD cards with a capacity of up to 2TB. The device has a removable battery with a capacity of 3000mAh.

The rear camera has a maximum resolution of 16MP, while the lens has an aperture of f/2.0. It seems that the V10 is not coming to the Benelux for the time being. The device will be released in South Korea this month, followed by a release in the US, the Middle East and various Asian countries.
