Huami has announced two new smartwatches. The Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2 both have a blood oxygen meter. The watches will be available from September 23 through various Chinese web shops and will have a starting price of 126 euros.

The Amazfit GTR 2 has a round amoled screen with a screen diagonal of 1.39 “. The screen has a resolution of 454×454 pixels and a maximum brightness of 450cd / m². Huami comes with two variants of the smartwatches: the Sports model gets a housing made of aluminum and a silicone strap, while the more expensive Classic variant is made of stainless steel and gets a leather strap.

The GTR 2 will include a blood oxygen meter and a sensor that, according to Huami, takes 24-hour heart rate measurements. The watch also gets a sleep mode. The GTR 2 also measures blood oxygen data while sleeping to calculate breathing quality, Android Authority writes. Huami claims the blood oxygen meter is 96 percent accurate. The smartwatch currently supports twelve sports modes, including cycling, running and skiing. In the future, Huami will add support for more sports to the smartwatch.

The watch has dimensions of 46.4×46.4×10.7mm. The Sports variant weighs 31.5 grams without a strap, while the Classic model weighs 39 grams. For the time being, the GTR 2 does not seem to be available in different sizes. The original GTR smartwatch became available in two sizes.

According to Huami, the 471mAh battery in the GTR2 lasts up to 14 days in daily use. In a ‘basic mode’, the smartwatch can last up to 38 days, the manufacturer claims. The watch gets 4GB of storage, NFC, bluetooth 5.0, GPS and Glonass, and is water resistant up to fifty feet. The GTR 2 can connect to wireless earplugs and play music without a phone. The Sports variant costs 999 yuan, which equates to about 126 euros. The Classic version costs 138 euros converted. It is not clear if and when the watch will be available worldwide.

The Amazfit GTS2 shows great similarities with the GTR 2, although the former has a rectangular amoled screen. This screen has a screen diagonal of 1.65 “and a resolution of 348×442 pixels. The battery is also smaller, with a capacity of 246mAh. The watch will last seven days with normal use, according to Huami, and in a basic mode this is stretched to twenty days. The watch is 42.8mm high, 35.6mm wide, 9.7mm thick and weighs 24.7 grams without the silicone strap.

Furthermore, the GTS 2 has the same functions as the GTR 2. The watch also has a blood oxygen meter and various sport modes. Sleep mode and 24-hour heart rate measurements are also supported, and water resistance remains the same as well. The GTS 2 will receive a suggested retail price of 126 euros.
