HTC sets up business VR division

HTC has founded Vive Enterprise Solutions, a separate division within the company that will focus on supporting companies that want to use virtual reality. Among other things, the division must assist in the deployment of VR for training purposes.

According to HTC, Vive Enterprise Solutions combines software, hardware, professional services and support to support companies that want to deploy virtual reality. HTC is considering help with VR applications such as training and simulation. design and visualization, virtual collaboration, on-site entertainment and attractions.

HTC has been targeting the business market with the Vive for some time. The company developed the Vive Pro and the Vive Pro Eye for the business market and according to the company, the Vive Focus Plus is suitable for training scenarios thanks to its all-in-one feature and support for 6dof. HTC’s VR development division, Vive Studios, also made Vive Sync available, which allows up to 30 people to meet in a virtual environment.

HTC hopes to achieve more turnover with a focus on the business market. The company has been suffering heavy losses for a long time. This was also the case in the period from January to March of this year, when the VR division had to provide the income.
