In this article, we will tell you how to remove viruses from computers without any antivirus.

1. Know the responsible app

First, you must check if there are any recent install apps. If you found any unnecessary recent apps, uninstall them.

2. Boot into safe mode and disable apps from the startup

Restart your PC and boot into safe mode with F8 or any other relevant key. After starting the PC in safe mode check the startup app. If there is unfamiliar apps then uninstall them from the control panel.

3. Remove Computer Viruses Using Command Prompt

You can use the command prompt to remove viruses. For this click on Start and type cmd. Now right-click on a cmd icon and select Run as administrator. Now select your drive where you want to remove viruses. For example you want to remove viruses from D drive, type “D:” and press enter. Now type “dir D: attrib -s -h /s /d ” and press enter. Now the command prompt will load all the files on your drive. if you notice an unusual file.exe and one of autorun.inf then rename it with the command (rename filename.extension new filename)

4. Disable Suspicious Services in Task Manager

Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESCAPE to task manager and terminate all suspicious services under the Services section. Now start with the new task MSConfig. In the MSConfig box, go to the service tab and then disable any suspicious or unwanted service that you can guess by thinking you have installed something related to that service or not. Go to the next tab “Startup” View all suspicious or unwanted files and under the command section, you will find the path of the suspicious file. Now open the command prompt and go to that location of the suspicious file and change the attribute of the file as discussed in the first method using CMD. And then just delete the file from there.

5. Use Online Scanner to Scan Your Files

Go to www.virustotal.com to scan the suspicious files (Maximum size is 128MB) Upload and scan the file. In Virustotal, you can scan a specific URL or even the entire site. For that, all you need to do is enter your suspicious URL under “URL” in virus total. Now, after selecting the files or URL, you need to click on the “Scan” button.

You can use another online scanner. Go to  Metadefender Online Scanner from your web browser. Select the file you want to scan. If the file you selected contains the malware or virus, the details of the threat will be displayed.

7. Using VirSCAN

Go to the FREE online scanning service Virscan.org. Choose the file you want to scan and click on the “Scan” knob. Select the file and click the ‘Scan’ button. Wait to finish the task and result along with the scanner name and file type.

8. Using Kaspersky VirusDesk

Visit the website Kaspersky Virus Desk from your Windows computer. On the next screen drag and drop or paste a link into the scan box and press the scan button. Wait some minutes to finish the task. If Kaspersky VirusDesk finds malware or viruses, it will let you know.

9. Using NoDistribute

Visit nodistribute.com from your web browser. You will see a clean interface on the next screen. Click on the “Choose File” option. Browse the file you want to scan. Click on the “Scan File” and wait a few seconds for the site to upload your file. Once completed, you will see the results of 35 unique antivirus engines.

10. Jotti . use

Visit Jotti’s malware scan webpage from here. Click on the “To leaf through” button. Wait a few seconds, depending on the file size. After that, it will show you the results of 20 different search engines.
