The Finnish HMD Global releases the Nokia G11 and G21, two almost identical phones that both come on the market for under 200 euros. The phones have a Unisoc-soc, a 90Hz LCD and a 5050mAh battery.
The phones run on a Unisoc T606, with two Arm Cortex-A75 cores at 1.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at the same clock speed, equipped with an Arm Mali-G57 GPU at 650MHz. Unisoc has the soc made at 12nm.
The phones measure 164.6×75.6×8.5mm and weigh 190g. The housing of the phones contains a 5050mAh battery that can be charged with 18W via the USB-C port. There is also a 3.5mm jack for connecting earphones and headphones. Users can store two nano SIM cards in the housing, in addition to a micro SD card. The G11 comes with 32GB of storage and the G21 with 128GB. The RAM of the G11 is 3GB and that of the G21 is 4GB.
The screen is a 6.5″ LCD with 1600×720 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen has a notch for the 8-megapixel front camera. On the back, the G11 has a 13-megapixel camera, while the G21 has a 50-megapixel camera Both phones have a 2-megapixel macro camera and a depth sensor.
The phones will get two OS upgrades; they are coming out with Android 11, so HMD promises to release Android 12 and 13 for the phones. HMD promises three years of security updates. The G11 will be released in April in the Benelux in a 3/32GB version for 149 euros, while HMD releases the G21 this week with a 4/128GB configuration for 199 euros.
