Grand Theft Auto V has sold 190 million copies. Publisher Take-Two confirmed this during the presentation of its quarterly figures. The game was released ten years ago and the next GTA game will be announced next month.
Take-Two reports in its quarterly results presentation that the title has sold 190 million times, spread across all platforms on which the game has appeared. According to the company, GTA V is the best-selling game of the past ten years. A total of 410 million games from the GTA series have now been sold, the publisher reports. Take-Two emphasizes that the next part in the GTA series is actively in development.
GTA V was released ten years ago, in September 2013. The game was then released for the PS3 and Xbox 360, but was later also released for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series Grand Theft Auto series will be officially announced next month. Developer Rockstar Games confirmed this week that it will release the first trailer for the game in December. It is not yet known when the game will be released. Rockstar may also announce this in December.
Early images of the new GTA game were leaked last year. According to previous reports from Bloomberg, the game will be set in Vice City and will have a male and a female protagonist.
