Google webshop temporarily showed new Nest doorbell and cameras

The Google webshop temporarily showed a new smart doorbell and a trio of cameras from Nest. The web pages in question have since been taken offline. Google previously announced that the company would release new Nest security cameras in 2021.

The Connected Home page on Google’s web store showed a “Nest Doorbell (battery)” and a “Nest Cam (battery)” on Wednesday, 9to5Google was the first to note. The latter product resembles the current Nest Cam Outdoor and can be mounted on the wall. The new Nest doorbell, in turn, is more elongated and narrower than the previous Nest Hello. At the bottom of the doorbell is a ring of light, surrounding the suspected doorbell button.

The webpage also showed a Nest Cam with floodlight. That is a security camera with two integrated LED lights that are located next to the camera. Google also mentioned the arrival of a wired Nest Cam for indoor use.

Google has since removed the upcoming products from its website. It is therefore not yet known when the products will appear on the market and what they will cost. The new Nest cameras were shown alongside the existing Nest Cam Indoor and Nest Cam Outdoor, suggesting that the old models will continue to be available. Google announced earlier this year that it would introduce a new line of Nest security cameras this year.
