Google postpones release of first beta Android 11

Google had planned to show and release the first public beta of Android 11 on June 3, but it has postponed that indefinitely. “Now is not the time to celebrate,” the company wrote.

google poses so not specifically what the reason is for the postponement, but there is a good chance that it concerns the protests and riots that the country is currently facing. This follows the death of a black detainee in the state of Minnesota on May 25. It is also restless in the San Francisco Bay Area, where Silicon Valley and Google are located.

That’s not to say that Android 11 hasn’t seen the light of day at all. The third developer version of the OS has now been released. It can be run on the Pixel 2, 3, 3a or 4 and the Android Emulator. However, as the name suggests, it is not intended for the end user. In total there will be three betas of Android 11 and the release should take place in the third quarter.
