GitLab has released version 13.3 of its online DevOps tool. The release focuses on making it easier to find and fix vulnerabilities in C, C ++ and Go code.

GitLab 13.3 coverage-guided fuzz tests on security vulnerabilities to expose bugs. These are tests that use contextual information from the apps under test to generate random input and find errors. GitLab got its hands on technology for these types of fuzz tests thanks to the acquisitions of Peach Tech and Fuzzit in July.

GitLab also makes its analysis tools for Static Application Security Testing available to all users and has simplified the configuration of Dynamic Application Security Testing and the execution of scans. One of the 69 new features in GitLab 13.3 is the ability to easily create a matrix for different jobs, each with their own different variables.

GitLab lists all improvements extensively in the release notes and last week the team behind the tool offered a video at the improvements that GitLab 13.4 will offer.
