HTC has for its legend-mobiles released new firmware with 3.15.405.3 as the version number. With this, the portable phone device is finally equipped with Android 2.2. The update is currently available via photos, where HTC recommends using a WiFi connection due to the size of this update. The abbreviated announcement looks like this:
HTC Legend Android 2.2 Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) update
You can now download the latest software update for new features and improved performance. It won’t delete any of your content and we’d recommend using a Wi-Fi connection as this is a large update. If not, standard data connection charges may apply. Any questions? Contact us at www.htc.com. After installing the update, you can confirm a successful update by confirming the Firmware version (From the Home Screen go to MENU> Settings> About Phone>Software number). The new Software number will be 3.15.405.3.
