Firmware update: Asus O!Play HD2 2.03

Asus released a new version of the firmware for the . earlier this month O!Play HD2 media player issued. This budget media player equipped with a Realtek media processor plays all common audio and video formats and offers space for an internal 3.5″ SATA hard disk. In version 2.03, support has been added for controlling the media player with an Android or iOS device The full changelog for this release is as follows:

  • Exclusive O!MediaShare feature support: Cable-free media files sharing from your smart phone and tablet to HDTV.
    * Please go to Android Market or Apple App Store to free download O!MediaShare app. And please turn on WiFi of your smart phone / tablet and O!Play media player and O!MediaShare can let you share Movies, photos and music which installed in your smart phone/tablet to HDTV instantly.
  • Improvded RightTxT feature that you can set up the video subtitle encoding manually.
  • Improved sometimes the remote control lagged issue when you just turn on O!Play and enter to the home menu.
  • Fixed the reset issue of Internet TV when the video steaming is on data timeout situation.
  • Fixed the bug that the system will be back to home menu automatically if you’re uplugging USB or eSata storage saved the photo files during the screen saver period.
  • Fixed the bug that “Turning off Led light” cannot work sometimes after powering on again.
