Firmware Update: AC Ryan Playon!HD 2 9.5.3.r5311

Media players come in different shapes and sizes. The prices for entry-level models, the ease of use and the possibilities, which are constantly improving, contribute to a large advance of these devices in the living room. AC Ryan serves the lower end of the market with its Playon!HD 2 and offers a player that can play the most common media formats without any problems for a reasonable price. In addition, when equipped with a 3.5″ internal hard drive, it can also serve as a NAS server and BitTorrent downloader. With version number 9.5.3.r5311, new firmware has been released for this device. Since the previous entry, the following have been released: changes made.

• Add an autoplay function to playback your video or audio automatically after the unit is booted up
  • Create an ‘autoplay’ folder (all small letters) on your internal HDD/external storage device
  • Place your media in the autorun folder in your own alphabetical order
  • The media will automatically start playing in the same sequence when the unit is booted up
    * Please note that this function works only for video or audio formats, it does not work with mixed video and audio under the same autoplay folder
    * If both internal and external storage has the same autoplay folder, the system will only play from the internal storage
• Fix Folder Protection bug of not unlocking when the default password ‘0000’ is changed
