Feral Interactive has announced that it will release a Linux version of Total War: Warhammer on November 22. The company is also working on a version for macOS, but no date has yet been announced.

Total War: Warhammer was originally developed by Creative Assembly and released by Sega on May 24 for Windows PCs. The port to Linux and macOS was written by Feral Interactive, a studio that specializes in developing such ports. In September, the company announced that it had made the seven-year-old game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II available for macOS and Linux. Furthermore, the company has made the iPad version of Rome: Total War.

The macOS version of the game will be released later than the Linux version. An exact date is not yet known. No pricing announcements have been made either. The Windows version of the game is currently for 47 euros in the Pricewatch and costs 60 euros on Steam, where Feral Interactive usually releases its games. The studio has not said to what extent the game’s many expansion packs will also be available.

Total War: Warhammer is a turn-based strategy game. Unlike the historical situations of other Total War games, this game takes place in the Warhammer universe. In the game, the factions of Empire, Greenskins, Dwarfs and Vampire Counts fight against each other. The Chaos and Bretonnia factions are available as downloadable content.
