The Battleroyale game Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has already been released for PC and PlayStation 4, but the release for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S is still pending. The maker now confirms that the game will no longer be released for these platforms this year.

In a news release, developer Mediatonic announces plans for the sixth season of Fall Guys, but also reports that the versions for the Xbox consoles and the Switch will no longer be released this year. The game maker is responding to the rumors that these versions would appear with the release of the new content in season six, but that is not the case.

Fall Guys was released last year for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The Xbox and Switch versions were announced early this year for last summer. In May, the developer reported that these versions were being postponed for the time being, because otherwise they would not be able to get all the features in the game. No release date was announced at the time and now Mediatonic confirms that the release will no longer take place this year.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a unique game in the battleroyal genre. In the game, players do not have to eliminate each other by shooting, but by completing an obstacle course and completing various mini-games. PlayStation and PC players can get started on the new events, levels and obstacles in Season Six from Wednesday.
