Facebook has added three new donation features to its platforms. Chief among these is the donate button for Instagram, which nonprofits can post to their accounts.
Non-profit organizations must have a business account to post the donate button. It allows them to get money from users right from their profile. Previously, Instagram’s way for organizations to obtain donations was a dedicated sticker that users could place on Stories to support a particular cause. By default, the sticker disappeared after 24 hours.
That sticker is now also coming to Facebook Stories. Users can add it to a story to help a non-profit or other fundraiser raise funds. Finally, Facebook has activated the Charity Livestreaming feature for Facebook Gaming Level Up streamers. They can choose a charity to support after which viewers can donate and see the amount raised.
