Driver Update: nVidia Omega Drivers 1.0.80

Spread the love

hjs announced that a new version of the Omega drivers is out. These drivers provide better image quality than the Detonator drivers. This version of the Omega driver is based on the Detonator 29.80 WHQL:

New in this version (1.0.80):

  • Based in the 29.80 official drivers. (9x/ME/2k/XP)
  • Fixed the XP resolutions AGAIN, reverted back to the old method for setting the resolutions, this way the drivers allows custom resolutions to be added. The only drawback is that normal tools that “fix” the 60Hz problem in Windows won’t work, you HAVE to use RefreshForce to fix it (included). (2k/XP)
  • Added a few new resolutions, they are all 4:3 in aspect. (2k/XP)
  • Added a 720×576 resolution for PAL TV output. (2k/XP)
  • Found out that nvidia “locked” the drivers so they couldn’t display the 1400×1050 resolution anymore, not even FORCED, so I made a workaround for the problem and added a NEW resolution to replace the missing one, 1440×1080, it works perfectly (up to 100Hz). 9x/ME/2k/XP)
  • Removed non-standard resolutions, like 1600×900, etc. (if anyone can give me a good reason to add them again, like for “What are they used for?” then I’ll add them back in the next release). (9x/ME/2k/XP)
  • Added options to the drivers SETUP, now you can select what to install and what not. (2k/XP)
  • Added support for Quadro based boards. (9x/ME/2k/XP)
    Enjoy!
