Driver Update: AMD Catalyst 15.8 Beta

AMD has released a new beta Catalyst driver. The driver is only suitable for Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, with a separate download for 32bit and 64bit environments. Windows 8.0 is no longer supported since version 14.6 and AMD therefore recommends installing the free update to Windows 8.1 or 10. New in this driver is support for the Oculus Rift SDk and improvements for the games Batman: Arkham Knight and Ashes of the Singularity. Furthermore, various problems have been solved and AMD also has a number that are already known, but are still being worked on.

  • As a temporary workaround, please uninstall the existing driver before installing the AMD Catalyst 15.8 Beta driver
• [425432] Some BENQ 144hz Freesync monitors may lose the signal while uninstalling the driver
• [425659] Assassin’s Creed Unity may experience minor frame stutter when AMD CrossFire mode is enabled
