Chinese smartphone maker Nubia introduces gaming smartphone

Chinese smartphone maker Nubia has announced the Red Magic, a smartphone with which the company is targeting gamers. The Red Magic should particularly distinguish itself with its appearance, including LED lighting

The display of the LED strip on the back can be adjusted by the user. The Red Magic has a game button to crank up the clock speed and block incoming calls, messages and notifications.

The device has a 6″ screen with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The processor is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 and not the current model, the 845. There is also only a single speaker. The manufacturer comes with versions with 6GB of ram and 64GB of storage. and 8GB ram and 128GB storage.The camera is a 24-megapixel model with f/1.7 lens and the battery capacity is 3800mAh.

Nubia is not the first to announce smartphones aimed at the lucrative gaming market. Razer preceded the company with the Razer Phone and the Black Shark affiliated with Xiaomi also released such a device. Furthermore, there are rumors that Asus will come with a smartphone in the Republic of Gamers series. Nubia was previously a subsidiary of ZTE, but ZTE has now reduced its stake in the company to less than 50 percent and Nubia has been an independent company ever since.
