Canadian web store publishes possible prices AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs – update

Initial pricing information for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 CPUs has emerged. A Canadian retailer has published product pages of four different models. The processors are expected to hit the market in mid-September.

The flagship model, the Ryzen 9 7950X, has a price of 1141 Canadian dollars at the online store PC Canada, which, converted and including 21 percent VAT, amounts to 1066 euros. That commented Twitter user momomo_us. In addition, the Ryzen 9 7900X is priced at 734 euros. The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X stands for converted and with VAT 580 euros and the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X costs 400 euros. It is not known whether the prices at the Canadian webshop are final.

Previously, the product names of these four Ryzen 7000 CPUs already appeared on the AMD website. The possible specifications of these processors were published a few days later by tech website Wccftech and leaker Enthusiastic Citizen. This showed that the processors get as many cores as their predecessors. The CPUs are based on a new Zen 4 architecture, are produced on TSMC’s N5 process and receive support for DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0. The CPUs are expected to be announced later this month. An expected release will follow on September 15, but AMD has not confirmed that yet.

Update, 11:13 am: The suggested retail prices have again been converted to euros, taking into account an additional 21 percent VAT; at Canadian retail prices, that tax isn’t added until checkout. Thanks to Dennis.
