Call of Duty Modern Warfare III and Warzone have received support for AMD’s FSR 3 upscaling technology with frame generation through an update. This allows additional frames to be generated for higher frame rates.

The FSR 3.0 feature in Call of Duty Modern Warfare III and Warzone completely replaces the previous FSR 2.1 option, it appears, among other things from a Reddit post. Players can choose from five presets: Ultra Performance, Performance, Balanced, Quality and Native. The latter does not use upscaling. The frame generation function must be activated with a separate toggle. This allows the frames to be approximately doubled, is apparent from a comparison video from youtuber 54 FPS. Wccftech writes that the games do not yet support AMD Anti-Lag, so the performance improvements can lead to input lag.

Before this, only five games had support for FSR 3.0: Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Forspoken, Immortals of Aveum, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Motorcubs RC. FSR 3’s frame generation technology is similar to that of Nvidia’s DLSS 3, but AMD’s variant is not based on AI hardware. As a result, FSR 3’s frame generation technology theoretically also works on video cards from Nvidia and Intel.
