Asus gives Transformer Book T100 processor upgrade
Asus has announced new versions of its popular Transformer Book. The models get a faster Bay Trail quadcore and in addition to the black version, Asus is launching a white version in the Benelux.
Current versions of the Transformer Book T100 have an Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core, with default clock speed of 1.33GHz and maximum clock speed of 1.86GHz. However, Asus upgrades the current line to the Atom Z3775. This quad-core has a base clock of 1.46GHz, with burst frequency of 2.39GHz. In addition, in addition to the current black models, there will be a white variant.
The other specifications remain the same. The 10.1″ screen shows 1366×768 pixels, there is 2GB of RAM and the storage capacity is 32GB or 64GB, which can be expanded via the SD memory card slot. There is also support for WiFi-n and Bluetooth and there is a USB 2.0 port. on the tablet part and a USB 3.0 port on the keyboard part.The prices of the new models remain unchanged. For example, the price of the white variant with 32GB is 349 euros.
