Apple has shown a teaser of Foundation, the series based on the books by Isaac Asimov. The series is made by the company that is also behind the production of Altered Carbon. Foundation will be on Apple TV+ next year.

The teaser gives a first look at the actors and environments that will be featured in Apple TV+ series Foundation. There will be ten episodes of the series. Two years ago it was already announced that Apple had commissioned the creation of Foundation. Robyn Asimov, the daughter of the late author is involved in the project.

Foundation is made by Skydance Television. Foundation is reportedly Apple TV+’s biggest project to date. A series based on Isaac Asimov’s book series has never been released, despite plans for film adaptations for decades. They always fail because of the complexity of the story.

The story is about the demise of the Galactic Empire. Psychohistorian Hari Seldon is the only one who can foresee this, thanks to the psychohistory he developed. This allows him to predict the future with mathematical formulas and statistical calculations. The story takes place over a span of a thousand years.

Asimov is a famous American science fiction writer and scientist. He is also known for his many stories about robots, which are bundled in Robot Dreams and Robot Visions. Asimov started writing stories about robots as early as 1939.
