Apple has reportedly postponed the Apple Watch Ultra with a microLED display again due to production problems. The watch would now not hit the market until early 2026 at the earliest.

The production of microLED screens would still be too expensive and that problem has not been solved for the time being. writes The Elec based on information from TrendForce. It was originally expected that an Apple Watch Ultra with a microLED screen would be released sometime in 2024. That would have been postponed until the second half of 2025 and now until early 2026. Apple is developing its own technology for the microLED screens, which is currently in an early stage.

The current Apple Watch Ultra will have an OLED screen for the time being.
