Apple Pay is now also available for SNS Bank customers. That is what parent company de Volksbank announced. Last week, Apple Pay was already available for ASN Bank and RegioBank. De Volksbank said at the time that SNS would soon follow.

SNS Bank customers can activate Apple Pay from Tuesday 17 May, writes de Volksbank. This is possible via the Mobile Banking app for iOS, it says on the SNS website. Users can link their checking account to Apple’s Wallet app. This creates a digital debit card that allows users to a compatible iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch be able to pay in stores, apps and webshops.

De Volksbank said last Tuesday that SNS would soon roll out support for Apple Pay. The banking organization then released Apple Pay support for ASN Bank and RegioBank, and reported that SNS would follow shortly.

De Volksbank has been working on Apple Pay support for some time. The company announced in 2020 that it was in talks with Apple about this. In September 2021, it was officially confirmed that the organization is working on Apple Pay support, but did not provide an indication at the time when that feature would be released. In April, the apps from SNS, ASN and RegioBank already received Apple Wallet support, indicating that the feature was imminent.
