“Apple is struggling with sound synchronization problems with AirPods”

Apple seems to have to postpone the release of the AirPods until after the holidays. Rumor has it that there are problems with synchronizing the sound between the earbuds, and the manufacturer has not yet found a solution.

Apple has not officially released any information about the AirPods. The wireless earbuds should actually be delivered in October, but were postponed at the time. An Apple spokesperson then indicated that more time was needed for development.

According to sources from The Wall Street Journal, the problem lies with the wireless connection between the earbuds. The intention is that both earbuds connect independently to, for example, an iPhone or Mac, for forwarding the audio. However, there are problems with synchronization that Apple has not yet been able to fix, the sources say. Both earbuds must receive their audio signal at the same time in order to provide good sound.

Apple announced the AirPods in September, with the release of the iPhone 7. Tim Cook said at the end of last month that he expected delivery in ‘the coming weeks’ to start. It therefore appears that this target will not be achieved. It is still unclear when the AirPods are expected.
