Internet store Amazon has spent the past two weeks with record labels spoken about offering music online. According to insiders, the company wants to offer its customers the opportunity to download individual songs for a fee. Amazon also wants to work with monthly subscriptions. The internet store itself has not released anything about offering music online, but several record executives have confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that talks have taken place. Amazon is expected to offer these services later this year.
