Xiaomi will present the Mi CC9 Pro next week, a smartphone with five cameras on the back. The primary camera has a 1/1.33″ sensor with 108 megapixels and there is also a camera with a telephoto lens that should offer ‘5x zoom’.

Xiaomi will present the phone next Tuesday, according to a message on Weibo. The function of the other cameras is still unknown. It goes without saying that in addition to the primary camera and camera with telephoto lens, there is also an ultra-wide-angle camera on the back. Xiaomi is putting that on many phones this year. In addition, one of the cameras is similar in size to the time-of-flight sensor, as it is on various other smartphones. In addition to the five cameras, a double LED flash is also visible on the back. There are no further details of the phone.

The Chinese manufacturer previously announced the Mi Mix Alpha with a 108Mp camera. This is a concept phone that may be on the market in limited quantities at the end of this year. Previously, code from the Gallery app showed that Xiaomi seems to be working on four different models with the Samsung Bright HMX camera sensor.

It wouldn’t be the first phone with five or more cameras on the back. The Nokia 9 Pureview from earlier this year has five of the same cameras and also a great sensor. Xiaomi is also said to be showing off a new smart TV and smartwatch at the event next week. Xiaomi is targeting its Mi CC line to a younger audience than its other smartphones.
