Chinese technology company Xiaomi will be launching its new activity tracker, the Mi Band 4, on 11 June. The gadget will be unveiled at an event in China. When the Mi Band 4 will come to the Benelux is not yet known.
Many details about the successor to the Mi Band 3 are still unknown. A teaser on Weibo hints on an OLED color screen. If that’s right, the new activity tracker will probably be slightly more expensive than the Mi Band 3, which has a suggested retail price of around 30 euros. The Mi Band 3 came on the market exactly one year ago.
The new Mi Band is expected to have a heart rate monitor and a waterproof design. Perhaps the device appears in two variants, a model without and with NFC technology for contactless payment. Other specifications that are being speculated are Bluetooth 5.0 and a larger battery of 135mAh.
The Mi Band 3 is very popular due to its relatively soft price. Partly due to this gadget, Xiaomi has been the largest manufacturer of wearables in the world since the end of last year.
