WhatsApp has received an update that allows users to play videos from Facebook and Instagram in the chat service app. For the time being, the functionality is only available on iOS.

After this update users on an iPhone or an iPad, for example, do not have to leave WhatsApp to open a link to a video on Facebook or Instagram to watch the video. Facebook owns both WhatsApp and Instagram and with this update tries to integrate the services more.
The update, which WhatsApp released for iOS on Monday, also adds an option for a group administrator to remove the admin rights of other participants . Group administrators can also choose who can change the icon of the group and the description since the last WhatsApp update.
This update of WhatsApp is currently only available for iOS devices. It is still unclear when the update also comes out for Android.
