WhatsApp has added a new way to create your own stickers to its app for iOS. It was already possible to create stickers by dragging images from the Photos app, but now you can do it directly from WhatsApp.
The options to add stickers now include a Plus button. Pressing that gives the option to select a photo from Photos and crop it for a sticker. Users can then add text and images to complete the sticker and send it, MacRumors reports.
The function is currently available on iOS, but not on Android. It has been possible to create stickers with generative AI for some time. The stickers are visible via the web and on Android. The feature requires iOS 17.
