Ubisoft confirmed during its E3 presentation that Watch Dogs Legion is in the works and set in London. The player’s task is to organize a resistance, in which you can put yourself in the shoes of every inhabitant. The game will be released on March 6, 2020.

Clint Hocking, the creative director of Watch Dogs Legion, explained after showing gameplay footage that players can recruit anyone from the London population. That can be very different, from an old grandmother, to a secret agent, or a street racer. Everyone walking around is fully simulated and can be part of the resistance team after recruiting. Each member has their own backstory, personality and skills. There is no main character that is all about it and if a team member dies, they don’t come back either.

Each character is fully animated and features voiceovers. To take over a character and add them to the team of resistance members, which can now mainly be regarded as a movement rather than a group of hackers, you can map him by viewing his dynamically generated profile. All people have implants and see in augmented reality.

Watch Dogs Legion revolves around the resistance against an authoritarian organization called Albion, which has a grip on London. For example, there are hordes of flying drones of all kinds that together form an entire drone ecosystem. These include drones that have to detect and disable people, but also cargo drones.

The resistance can consist of twenty team members in three different classes: enforcers, infiltrators and hackers. The former class is more of the brute force, while the infiltrator works more subtly, for example by applying an augmented reality cloak to take out opponents. For example, the hacker can take over drones.

There are five different storylines with over sixty missions and a co-op mode for four players. Watch Dogs Legion comes out on March 6, 2020.
