Vodafone has indicated that it will increase the internet speed of its call + SMS + web subscriptions from April. Instead of a download speed via Vodafone’s 3g network of 7.2Mbit/s, customers will now receive 14.4Mbit/s.

The telecom provider reports this on its website. According to Vodafone, customers who have taken out a call+sms+web subscription after May 6, 2012 will receive a download speed of 14.4Mbit/s as of April. The upload speed is then 5.8Mbit/s. Customers who qualify for this will be notified by the provider. Currently, b+s+w subscribers still have an internet speed of 7.2Mbit/s down and 2.0Mbit/s up.

Vodafone also informs that customers with a Scherp subscription can look forward to an increase in internet speed. The simonly subscriptions will receive an increase in the download speed from 2.0Mbit/s to a maximum of 7.2Mbit/s. The upload speed is 2.0Mbit/s from April.
