The Chinese smartphone maker Vivo, a sister company of Oppo and OnePlus, has presented the V7+ in India. The device has an extended screen of 6 “and a front camera with a resolution of 24 megapixels.

Vivo introduced the V7+ at an event in India and the Android smartphone has since appeared at a web store in the country. The 6″ LCD has a resolution of 1440×720 pixels, matching the screen of the Wiko View XL. Vivo used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 soc, a 14nm soc with eight Cortex A53 cores on a maximum of 1. 8GHz and an Adreno 506 GPU, Vivo adds 4GB of lpddr3 memory and 64GB of emmc storage.

The front camera has to take better photos in less light due to an effect of the screen that Vivo calls ‘Moonlight Glow’. Using the screen as a flash for the front camera is common in smartphones and it is unclear how the Vivo phone stands out in this regard. The rear camera has a maximum resolution of sixteen megapixels.

Vivo will release the phone for a price of 21,990 rupees, currently about 286 euros. Phones from Vivo have not been released in the Benelux to date, unlike those from sister company OnePlus.
