ViewSonic brings to the market the VX3211-4K-mhd, an uncurved 31.5″ monitor with a VA panel with a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The screen also has support for AMD’s FreeSync and HDR10 and must be less than 500 will cost euros.

The ViewSonic VX3211-4K-mhd has a VA panel and therefore has a relatively high static contrast value of 3000:1. The screen supports HDR10, but the brightness is 300cd/m², which is not very high for a good HDR experience. This value is also too low to qualify for the lowest DisplayHDR rating; for this, the maximum brightness must be at least 400cd/m².

The monitor has an 8-bit panel, which, according to ViewSonic, should lead to an experience with better colors, as if it were a 10-bit panel, due to, among other things, the application of frame rate control. The screen can display 95 percent of the NTSC color space and the maximum refresh rate is 60Hz. The VX3211-4K-mhd has AMD FreeSync, although it is not clear between which frequencies the refresh rate of the monitor is synchronized with the output of the GPU.

The screen has two built-in speakers with a power of 2.5W and as far as the connections are concerned, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs and displayport 1.2. The monitor can be tilted and has a 3.5mm connection. According to ComputerBase, the price is 495 euros.
