Valve is increasing the number of deliveries of the Steam Deck starting this week, promising to send out more deliveries each week. It is not clear how many copies are involved, but the company previously talked about ‘hundreds of thousands’.

Valve reports the first series delivery confirmation emails of the second quarter to customers who had placed a reservation. “Starting today, we’ll be increasing Steam Deck deliveries and sending more emails every week with order availability, sometimes even twice a week,” said Valve.

The company also has its product page for the Steam Deck updated with a small clarification of what customers should understand by Q2, Q3 and ‘after Q3’ when ordering. For example, ‘after Q3’ now states that orders will be shipped in October 2022 or later.

It is not known what numbers Valve can supply of the handheld. In February, Valve designer Lawrence Yang . reported in an interview with IGN that the company can deliver tens of thousands in the first month and ‘hundreds of thousands’ from the second month. Valve started deliveries at the end of February but soon had to indicate that new orders could only be delivered ‘after Q3’.
