On its website , 343 Industries states that the first test build will be given to partners next week. Interested users can then start playing in the first half of June. It is the first time that a release date has been mentioned for Halo 3, but it is not yet clear when the final release is planned; it was previously stated that Halo 3 should be released this year.

Those wishing to participate in the test must enroll in the Halo Insider program for the PC. It’s free, and it also gives players the opportunity to report bugs.

The Halo 2 remaster was released earlier this month . The game, called Halo 2: Anniversary, is available for PC. Compared to the original, not only the graphics, but also the music and sound effects have been improved. The remaster is part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. That collection includes all Halo games up to and including the fourth part. The games come out in chronological order, making Halo 3 the next in the series.
