These are the new Netflix series and films in October 2020

This month there will be a lot of news on Netflix and that is good, because with this rainy weather we are more indoors. So stock up on snacks and drinks so you’re ready to bing new series and movies. We already highlight a few highlights and promising titles and list them all for you. Don’t forget to scroll all the way down, because a number of classics will also appear on the streaming service in October. Notting Hill for example, just like The Godfather and Seven. Blanket and popcorn ready? Have a look!

Emily in Paris

From October 2 you can watch the Netflix Orginal Emily in Paris . This series could well become the new Sex and the City . It was also created by Darren Star, the outfits also come from Patricia Field and the main characters are also dressed fantastically. Emily in Paris, as the name suggests, is set in Paris and actress Lily Colins plays the role of Emily. The series will be pleasing to the eye.

Social distance

A series that is completely in keeping with these times is Social Distance . In 8 episodes you see how different people deal with quarantine. The show was made without the team having physical contact with each other. Everyone worked from home and the cast just filmed themselves. According to Netflix, the series should ensure that viewers feel connected, because we are all in this together (or were).

The trial of the Chicago 7

Netflix likes to highlight old issues. Think of the successful and intense series When They See Us , about the ‘Central Park Five’. The trial of the Chcago 7 is a film about a world-famous lawsuit that took place in the late 1960s. In 1968 violent protests and riots took place in the United States. The activists who were arrested for this faced a tough trial. We have high hopes for this film and the star cast that includes Sacha Baron Cohen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Michael Keaton.

David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet

94-year-old biologist, nature lover, television producer and presenter David Attenborough made this beautiful documentary, which shows the viewer how the flora and fauna on earth is doing. After all, this man has seen for himself what has changed in recent decades. And we can already reveal that the film is not exactly cheerful in that respect. Almost 100 years ago, when Attenborough was born, two-thirds of the earth was wilderness. That is now less than a quarter and with that all kinds of animal species have disappeared. We’re looking forward to A Life on Our Planet, which airs on Netflix from October 4. By the way, check out David’s brand new Instagram account right away .

Netflix Original Series

As always, we start with an overview of all new Netflix Original Series. Something that Netflix focuses on. These Original series often become available for binging all at once, with a few exceptions of which a new episode will be added every week (as is still the case with, for example, the second season of Undercover ).
