Thermaltake announces its The Tower 100 casing at CES. This tower casing offers space for Mini-ITX motherboards and should be available by the end of January. Thermaltake does not mention the price for the time being.

The Thermaltake The Tower 100 is a smaller version of the current The Tower 900, which was announced in 2016. The Mini-ITX variant measures approximately 463x266x266mm, while the larger model measures 752x423x483mm. The new case only offers space for Mini-ITX motherboards and weighs 6.1 kilograms. Thermaltake provides The Tower 100 with three glass side panels.

The Tower 100 case’s motherboard mount has been rotated a quarter turn from other enclosures. This will position the motherboard connectors at the top of the chassis. The casing supports video cards with a maximum length of 330mm, which is placed vertically in the casing. The case also offers space for CPU coolers with a maximum height of 190mm and power supplies up to 180mm.

Thermaltake also supplies two 120mm fans. The manufacturer places these on the top and back of the case. In total, the case offers space for up to three 120mm or 140mm fans. The casing is optimized for vertical airflow, according to the manufacturer, where air is introduced at the bottom and expelled at the top. The supplied fans each run at a speed of 1000rpm. Users can install up to two 2.5 “drives as standard. The Tower 100 enclosure also offers space for two 3.5” HDDs, but users must relocate the pre-installed rear fan.

The front panel contains a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connector, two USB 3.0 Type-A connectors and two 3.5mm jacks for audio and a microphone. Thermaltake is releasing the casing in a black and white version. The Thermaltake The Tower 100 should be available at the end of January, but the company is not yet talking about a suggested retail price. The larger The Tower 900 had a suggested retail price of $ 250 and is priced at € 255 in the Pricewatch.
