Developer Team 17 is releasing its first VR game this year. Killer Frequency is, according to the makers, a funny horror game in which players take on the role of a radio host. The game is set in the 1980s and comes to the Meta Quest 2 headset.

As radio host Forrest Nash, players receive calls from listeners who are being chased by a mysterious killer. According to the creators, players can save lives by solving puzzles and operating switches, all while listening to music from the 80s.

Killer Frequency is Team 17’s first VR game. The developer is known for, among other things, Worms. The game will be released sometime this year before the Meta Quest 2. A release date has not yet been announced and it is not yet clear what the game will cost.

Killer Frequency also appears on Steam, but that is a ‘flat screen’ version of the game and not a VR game. For now, the VR version has only been announced for the Meta Quest 2 headset.

Update 7:16 PM: the Steam version is not a VR game, according to a Team17 press release. The article has been adapted accordingly.
