TCL introduces first laptop and new version of tablet with reflective LCD

TCL introduced its first laptop, the Book 14 Go, at CES. The laptop costs $349 and should be released in the second quarter of 2022. In addition, TCL unveils a new version of the Nxtpaper tablet with a reflective and paper-like color display.

The notebook has a 14.1″ screen with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:9 and runs on Windows 11. In addition, it contains the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c chip with an Ardeno 618 GPU. The new 10.1” full-color tablet, called the Nxtpaper 10s, was announced at the same CES press conference. The screen has no backlight and, according to the manufacturer, there are no flickers and blue light during the display, which would be better for the eyes of the user. What’s different about the 10s version is that the screen is bigger and the device is heavier; the earlier version weighs 316 grams and the 10s about 490 grams. This tablet should be available in Europe later this month. The company quotes a suggested retail price of $249.
