The suspected specifications of the foldable smartphone Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 have come out. They hardly show any changes compared to the Fold3. However, the screens would be slightly less narrow.

The screen diagonals are unchanged, mentions Yogesh Brar of 91Mobiles† The screen on the inside would have a diagonal of 7.6″, the outside of 6.2″. Both OLED screens are refreshed at 120Hz. Earlier information did mention that the screens would be less narrow. The screen on the outside would go from 24.5:9 to 23:9, while that on the inside would change from 5:4 to 6:5. If that information is correct, the screen is about 0.3cm wider on the outside and a full centimeter on the inside.

The primary camera gets a higher-resolution sensor. That goes from 12 to 50 megapixels according to the information. There will also be a 12-megapixel camera with ultra-wide angle lens and a 12-megapixel camera with 3x zoom compared to the primary camera. The front camera on the outside remains at 10 megapixels, while that on the inside goes from 4 to 16 megapixels. The soc will be a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 from Qualcomm. The battery capacity remains the same at 4400mAh and charging is at 25W at the same rate as with the Fold3.

Samsung announced its previous two Fold models in August, with a release shortly after. Nothing is known yet about a possible price of the foldable smartphone. The Fold was the most expensive model in the manufacturer’s lineup in recent years. The Fold3 came out for 1799 euros.
