The Nokia 9 smartphone, which according to previous rumors is in the making, will probably have a 5.5 “OLED screen and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. This is according to data from documents from the American telecom regulator FCC.

It would be an OLED screen made by LG. According to the apparently removed documents from the FCC, the device will have a Snapdragon 835-soc and a battery with a capacity of 3,250mAh, Android Police among others reports.

According to the information on accompanying screenshots, the screen has a 16:9 ratio. Furthermore, the device from manufacturer HMD has a dual camera with resolutions of 12 and 13 megapixels and there is 128GB of storage. The amount of working memory is unknown. The front camera is a 5 megapixel one.

Renders published in October that show what the Nokia 9 will probably look like already showed that the device would get a dual camera and a 5.5 “OLED screen. The housing shown is missing a 3.5 mm connection. Nokia 9 would have a curved screen with thin edges, just like the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Information about the price and release date was not in the FCC documents. The device is expected to be released sometime next year. HMD is the company that has a license to the Nokia brand name. Nokia itself no longer makes smartphones and has focused on, among other things, network equipment and health applications. HMD consists largely of former employees of Nokia and the mobile arm of Microsoft.
