Star Wars Episode I: Racer Remaster Coming to PS4 and Switch Next Month

Star Wars Episode I: Racer will be released on May 12 for the Nintendo Switch and the Sony PlayStation 4. It is a remaster of the original, which was released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999.

The remaster is by Aspyr, which specializes in game porting. On Starwars.com, the company reports that the polished version of Star Wars Episode I: Racer is optimized for the controllers of the Switch and the PS4, among other things.

The game offers single player mode and split screen multiplayer. There are twenty-five podrakers to choose from, including Anakin Skywalker, Sebulba and Ratts Tyerell. Pitdroids play a role in optimizing the racing vehicle and competitions can be held on eight worlds including Tatooine, Baroonda and Malastare. The price is $15 upon release on May 12.
