The Windows version of Spelunky 2 will be released on September 29. The game is slightly delayed compared to its counterpart on the PlayStation 4, according to the developer because the game needs to be further optimized.

That let developer Derek Yu know on Twitter. The PS4 version of the game will be released on September 15, two weeks earlier. What the two versions will cost is not yet stated on the shop pages. The first part costs at least 14.99 euros, but this coming part may be more expensive due to the larger set-up and co-op.

Spelunky 2 is a 2d platformer roguelike with randomly generated levels. Players must work their way through these levels and navigate through traps and enemies. However, there are multiple secrets and alternative paths to the end of the game, which increases replayability.
