Sony officially confirms that the suggested retail price of the PlayStation 4 with 500GB HDD in Europe will be reduced from 399 to 349 euros. In addition, Twitch has released an app for the console, which offers the possibility to view all streams on the platform.

Last weekend it became clear that many stores will offer the PlayStation 4 from October 21 for 349 euros, but now Sony has also confirmed the European price reduction itself on its blog. The price is for the console with 500GB HDD, without game. There are also various bundles for sale with games such as Metal Gear Solid V, Destiny or Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, for amounts from 379 to 399 euros. Although Sony does not specify a new suggested retail price for the PlayStation 4 with 1TB HDD, that model is for sale at various stores including a game for 399 euros.

Twitch also announced that a full app for the PlayStation 4 will be released. The app is now available for download in America and other regions should follow soon. The PS4 has been able to stream game footage via Twitch since its release, but only channels from other PS4 gamers could be viewed. With the arrival of the app, console owners will have all the functionality of Twitch at their disposal and all Twitch streams can be viewed. This was already possible on the Xbox One. The app will also have a special section where PS4 streams can be found. Versions of the app for the PlayStation 3 and Vita will also follow later this fall.

Greatness awaits your #PS4 when you install the new Twitch app! https://t.co/WZJrLSeQ6u
