Xfire is an instant messenger for gamers. In addition to standard IM functionality, it offers the possibility to see where and which game your friends are playing, and immediately join in at the touch of a button. In this release, the number of supported games increased to 125 and you can now change Xfire’s looks using skins† The changelog tells us about the following changes in version 0.12:

• Added skin support, including our own default Xfire skin.
• Reduced the heartbeat time to less than 10 minutes to help people with routers with short timeouts.
• Fixed disconnections so it won’t pop up a dialog if you’re in a game.
• Lots of bug fixes
• LOTS of games! Starsiege Tribes, Nascar Racing 3/4, 2003, several Star Trek games, Universal Combat, Operation Flashpoint, IL-2 Sturmovik, Lineage 2, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes, Hitman 2, Rogue Spear, and a whole bunch more.
