Download WordPress 3.1.4

Version 3.1.4 of WordPress has been released. With this program, which is made available under the gpl license, it is possible to set up and maintain a weblog. WordPress could be up and running in five minutes if a server with PHP and MySQL is available. There are possibilities to further extend the functionality of WordPress, in addition to blogging, and improve the appearance with plugins and themes to adjust. New in version 3.1 include internal linking and a new management bar. In addition, the multisite functionality has been moved to a separate place. WordPress 3.1.4

WordPress 3.1.4 is available now and is a maintenance and security update for all previous versions.

This release fixes an issue that could allow a malicious Editor-level user to gain further access to the site. Thanks K. Gudinavicius or SEC Consult for bringing this to our attention. Version 3.1.4 also incorporates several other security fixes and hardening measures thanks to the work of WordPress developers Alexander Concha and Jon Cave of our security team.
