VMware has released version 12.5.6 of its virtualization software Workstation Pro. With this program it is possible to create one or more virtual computers on which a large number of different operating systems can be installed. That way, they can be used side by side, as opposed to a dual boot setup, where you have to choose one or the other. Known Issues

  • After upgrading VMware Tools to version 10.1.5 or 10.1.6 and rebooting Windows, Explorer shows the VMware Shared Folder drive as disconnected with a red “X”.
    Workaround:Refresh the connection by clicking the drive and accessing it as normal.
